Community Rules & Terms

MyRealm is for people 18 and older. By creating an account you confirm you're at least 18. If we learn an account belongs to someone younger, we'll remove it.

Above every specific rule: be the kind of person you'd want at your table. Bring creativity, welcome newcomers, and treat other people's characters and stories with the same care you'd want for your own. Most problems solve themselves when everyone plays in good faith.

MyRealm is a site about characters you made, so we'd rather the art had a person behind it too. If you can, please skip the AI image generators. Draw it yourself, commission an artist, or build them in a character creator. HeroForge, Picrew, and a hundred other portrait and dress-up makers will get you something you're happy with, most of them free, and fiddling with them is half the fun anyway.

Not everyone draws, not everyone can commission, and nobody is losing their account over a portrait. But a realm full of art that someone actually made is a better place to spend an evening.

Be respectful. No harassment, hate speech, bigotry, threats, or targeted cruelty toward anyone. Disagree about builds and lore all you like, but keep it about the game, not the person.

Keep content appropriate. MyRealm is a shared, roughly PG-13 space. No sexually explicit material, gratuitous gore, or content that sexualizes minors, fictional or otherwise. When in doubt, dial it back.

Respect other people's worlds. Don't copy, deface, or misrepresent someone else's characters, tables, or writing. Their stories are theirs; yours are yours.

Post only what's yours to post. Share art, text, and portraits you created or have the right to use. Don't upload other people's work as your own or anything that infringes a copyright or trademark.

No impersonation. Don't pretend to be another member, a real person, or MyRealm staff. Your account represents you.

Please don't spam, advertise, scrape, or try to break, overload, or gain unauthorized access to the platform or other members' accounts. Don't post anything illegal, and don't use MyRealm to harm others. We built this on trust; abusing it spoils it for everyone.

New accounts are reviewed and approved by an admin before they gain full access. Admins may remove content, or suspend or remove accounts, that break these rules, usually after a heads-up, but immediately when the situation calls for it.

See something that doesn't belong? Reach out to an admin and let us know. We'd rather hear about a problem early than late.

MyRealm is offered during an early beta, as-is and as-available, with no guarantees of uptime, data retention, or that every feature will keep working the way it does today. We may add, change, or retire features as the platform grows.

You're responsible for your account and everything posted from it, and you keep ownership of the characters and content you create. By posting, you allow MyRealm to store and display that content so the site can, well, work. You can remove your content, and we may remove content or accounts that violate these rules.

These terms may change as MyRealm does; when they change meaningfully, we'll update the date below. Continuing to use MyRealm means you accept the current version.

To run your account we store your email and whatever you choose to post: characters, highlights, messages, and the like. We don't sell your data. Remember that anything you mark public can be seen by anyone, so share with that in mind.
